As our business continues to grow, we are looking for a highly organized and analytical Purchasing Administrator to join our team at our Huntingdon headquarters.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with numbers, analyzing data and ensuring purchasing processes run accurately and efficiently.
The Role
Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the procurement function by maintaining purchasing data, processing orders, monitoring supplier performance and ensuring inventory information is accurate.
The ideal candidate will be highly competent in Microsoft Excel, naturally analytical and comfortable working with large volumes of numerical data.
Key Responsibilities
· Raise and process purchase orders accurately and efficiently.
· Maintain purchasing records, supplier pricing and product data.
· Analyze purchasing trends and identify opportunities for cost savings.
· Produce regular purchasing and stock reports using Microsoft Excel.
· Monitor supplier delivery performance and update internal systems.
· Work closely with Finance, Production and Warehouse teams to ensure smooth material flow.
· Support stock management and inventory accuracy.
· Assist with supplier communications and administration.
· Ensure all purchasing documentation is maintained accurately.
About You
We’re looking for someone who is:
· Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP and data analysis.
· Naturally numerical with excellent attention to detail.
· Organized, methodical and able to prioritize multiple tasks.
· Confident communicating with suppliers and internal departments.
· Proactive with strong problem-solving skills.
· Experienced in a purchasing, procurement, finance or administration role (preferred but not essential).
