Overview

We are seeking a motivated Trainee Dental Nurse/Receptionist to join our friendly dental practice. This entry-level role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in dental nursing and patient reception. The position is paid and suitable for individuals interested in developing a career within dental healthcare. The successful candidate will support the clinical team while providing exceptional patient care and administrative assistance.

Responsibilities

Assisting the dental team during patient treatments, ensuring patient comfort and safety
Preparing treatment rooms and sterilising equipment in accordance with infection control protocols
Welcoming patients, checking them in, and managing appointment schedules at the reception desk
Handling patient enquiries both face-to-face and via telephone or email
Maintaining accurate patient records using IT systems
Supporting administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing correspondence
Ensuring the practice environment remains clean, organised, and welcoming at all times

Experience

No prior experience required; full training will be provided to develop necessary skills
A genuine interest in patient care and healthcare professions
Good command of English, both spoken and written
Basic IT literacy skills for managing electronic records and communication tools
Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members
Organisational skills to manage appointments and maintain accurate records
