Roadside Assistance Technician

We are currently looking for a reliable and experienced vehicle Technician to join our growing team within North Devon. This role will include attending broken down vehicles at roadside to diagnose and rectify faults where possible.
This is a customer-facing role, so excellent communication and customer service skills are essential alongside strong mechanical knowledge and problem-solving abilities.
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday
- 8:00am – 6:00pm
- 45 hours per week with overtime available
- overtime paid at enhanced rate
Key Responsibilities
- Attending roadside breakdowns and assisting customers efficiently and professionally
- Diagnosing vehicle faults and carrying out roadside repairs where possible
- Towing vehicles to a safe location when repairs cannot be completed roadside to allow for recovery.
- Providing excellent customer service and maintaining a professional attitude at all times
- Completing job reports and paperwork accurately
- Ensuring company vehicles and equipment are maintained to a high standard
Requirements
- NVQ qualification in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (Level 2 or above preferred)
- Previous experience in roadside assistance or automotive repair
- Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and under pressure
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
