DeepOcean are seeking an experienced and motivated Remote Senior Data Processor to join our Onshore Processing Team. In this role, you will lead and support the remote processing, quality control, and delivery of survey data across a range of offshore projects- all from a land-based environment.
The role will be either Norway or UK (Aberdeen) based, but will involve coordinating data processing activities undertaken by teams located across DeepOcean’s remote processing centres, RPCs, globally.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate remote data processing activities across projects and regions
Ensure data is processed, quality controlled, and delivered in line with client and project specifications
Plan and prioritise workflows to meet project deadlines
Provide oversight of all aspects of the remote data pipeline and production line
Maintain data integrity, logs, and secure backup routines
Prepare and quality check digital deliverables and reports
Support and mentor data processors within the team
Contribute to continuous improvement of workflows, tools, and efficiency
Collaborate closely with surveyors, engineers, and project teams
Assist in the optimisation of data processing workflows
Provide input to process development and standardisation
What We Are Looking For
Degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Engineering, or similar
Extensive experience in survey data processing, with a proven track record of working with a wide range of hydrographic data acquisition projects, including ROV pipeline inspection
Strong understanding of survey workflows, deliverables, and QA/QC processes
Experience working in a remote or distributed environment is an advantage
Proficiency in relevant processing software and Microsoft Office
Strong communication skills in English
Working Conditions
Based in DeepOcean offices (Oslo, Stavanger, Bergen, Haugesund or Aberdeen) with some options for hybrid working
Standard office hours with regular on-call rotation, including:
Weekend work
Periods of extended (e.g., 12-hour) shifts depending on project needs
