Job Summary

Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, pruning, planting, and fertilising to ensure healthy growth and visual appeal.
Operate various power tools such as lawnmowers, hedge trimmers, and edgers safely and efficiently.
Use hand tools for planting, trimming, digging, and other landscaping activities.
Maintain irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and system functionality.
Operate heavy machinery such as excavators for larger construction or landscaping projects.
Conduct routine maintenance on equipment and tools to ensure optimal performance.
Assist with construction activities related to landscape design or installation projects.
Ensure all work areas are kept clean, organised, and safe in compliance with health and safety regulations.
Collaborate with team members to complete projects within specified timeframes while maintaining quality standards.

Requirements

Proven experience in landscape maintenance, gardening or horticulture is highly desirable.
Mechanical knowledge related to power tools, irrigation systems, and construction equipment such as excavators.
Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
Previous construction experience is advantageous.
Good understanding of plant care, horticultural practices, and garden design principles.
Ability to operate heavy machinery including excavators is preferred but not essential.
Physical fitness with the ability to perform manual labour including lifting heavy loads and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail to ensure high-quality workmanship.
A valid PERSON (or equivalent) licence is required for operating certain machinery or vehicles on site.
