Job Responsibilities:
As a Practitioner or Support Worker you will play a key role in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children in our care. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Planning and Implementing Learning Activities:
- Develop and deliver age-appropriate educational activities that promote physical, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Follow curriculum guidelines and ensure each child’s individual needs are met.
- Provide both structured and unstructured play opportunities to encourage creativity and social skills.
Child Supervision and Safety:
- Ensure a safe and supportive environment for all children in the nursery.
- Monitor children’s well-being, health, and safety, responding to any concerns promptly.
- Assist children with daily routines, including feeding, dressing, and personal care.
Building Relationships with Children and Families:
- Foster positive relationships with children to support their development.
- Regularly communicate with parents about their child’s progress and any concerns.
- Maintain records of children’s learning progress and activities.
Team Collaboration and Support:
- Work closely with other practitioners to create a cohesive and dynamic team.
- Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to continually improve practice.
- Support and mentor new or less experienced team members.
Administrative Tasks:
- Complete daily records, observations, and assessments for each child.
- Ensure nursery resources and materials are well-maintained and organized.
Qualifications & Skills:
- A recognized qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent (Level 2 or 3).
- Previous experience in a childcare setting is an advantage, but not essential.
- A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and health & safety standards.
Job Type (multiple positions available):
- Full-time (38 hours per week)
- Part-time (25-30 hours per week)
- Zero-hours

Pay:
- Up to £12.85 per hour, depending on age/experience
Schedule:
- 10-hour shift
- 8-hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
