Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Plumbing and Heating Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing and heating systems across various commercial and residential properties. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, practical experience with a variety of tools, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team to deliver high-quality service. Duties

Installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing and heating systems in commercial and residential settings.
Using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and carpentry skills to complete tasks efficiently.
Conducting routine inspections to identify faults or potential issues within systems.
Assembling components and ensuring all installations meet safety standards and building regulations.
Performing heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely to facilitate installations or repairs.
Troubleshooting mechanical problems using specialised knowledge to diagnose issues accurately.
Operating commercial vehicles for transportation of materials or equipment as required.
Ensuring work sites are kept clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
Communicating effectively with clients and team members regarding project progress or technical issues.

Requirements

Proven experience in plumbing, heating systems, or related mechanical fields.
Proficiency with welding, hand tools, power tools, and assembly techniques.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics.
Basic maths skills for measurements, calculations, and system diagnostics.
Carpentry skills beneficial for custom fittings or modifications.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work at heights if required.
Valid driving licence with experience in commercial driving preferred.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
A proactive attitude towards health & safety protocols in all aspects of work.
