Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to oversee and manage all financial aspects of construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for cost estimation, budgeting, and financial control, ensuring projects are delivered within scope and budget. A strong background in electrical experience is highly desirable to facilitate effective cost management across diverse project types. Duties
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects, with particular emphasis on electrical components where applicable.
- Monitor project costs throughout the construction lifecycle, identifying potential overruns and implementing corrective measures.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers, subcontractors, and consultants to secure favourable terms.
- Conduct regular site visits to assess progress, quality, and compliance with financial plans.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure financial objectives are met.
- Manage change orders and variations, ensuring proper documentation and approval processes are followed.
- Prepare comprehensive financial reports and forecasts for senior management and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, standards, and best practices in quantity surveying and construction finance.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with a minimum of [insert years] years in the construction industry.
