Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in assisting the Head Chef with daily kitchen operations, supervising staff, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality food and service. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a passionate culinary professional to develop leadership skills within a vibrant hospitality environment.

Responsibilities

Assist in overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to standards
Supervise and support kitchen staff, including training and mentoring team members
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards
Manage food production to meet quality, safety, and hygiene regulations
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen environment
Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and best practices at all times
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
Support the Head Chef in menu planning, development, and special event preparations

Qualifications

Proven experience in a similar role within a busy restaurant or hospitality setting
Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management
Supervising experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively
Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
Good understanding of food production processes and culinary techniques
Experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is highly desirable
Demonstrated leadership qualities with a focus on teamwork and customer satisfaction
