Self-Employed Cat Sitter | Ormskirk & Surrounding Areas
We are looking for a reliable, caring and flexible self-employed cat sitter to join our team and provide cat-sitting visits across Ormskirk and surrounding areas.
This role would suit someone who genuinely loves animals, is dependable and is looking for regular work with the flexibility of being self-employed.
The role
You will be responsible for visiting clients’ homes to care for their cats, which may include feeding, providing fresh water, cleaning litter trays, administering medication where required, and giving the cats plenty of attention and care.
The role requires someone who is very flexible with their availability, as visits can vary from week to week.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience caring for cats and is genuinely passionate about their welfare
- Is confident using a mobile phone for work, including our booking/scheduling system and communicating with clients
- Has reliable transport and is able to travel between visits
- Has very good availability and flexibility, including being able to cover visits at short notice when needed
- Is willing to work weekends, bank holidays and during busy periods when required
- Can accommodate changes to their schedule and occasional last-minute visits
- Is ideally available most days, although one regular day off per week can be accommodated where possible
- Is reliable, punctual and communicates well
- Is comfortable entering clients’ homes and working independently
- Will treat every cat and client’s home with care and respect
Self-employed position
This is a self-employed role, so you will be responsible for managing your own tax and National Insurance.
The nature of the role means that flexibility and availability are extremely important. We cannot guarantee a fixed number of hours each week, and the amount of work offered will depend on client bookings and your availability.
In return, you will have the opportunity to build regular work with an established pet-care business and work independently while providing an important service to our clients and their cats.
