Full job description

We’re looking for a reliable and motivated Class 2 Driver to join our growing sewage services team in Dunsfold. You’ll be operating a vacuum tanker, carrying out essential work across the South East, with occasional travel to Hampshire and Kent.

This is a varied, independent role offering good pay, stable hours and long-term progression.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for:

Driving and operating liquid waste/vacuum tankers safely and professionally
Pumping out sewage systems, pump stations, storm water facilities and similar tanks
Disposing of waste at authorised water treatment sites
Completing vehicle checks and defect reports before each shift
Handling paperwork and job records accurately after each job
Using an iPhone/iPad for job updates, messaging and email communication
Responding calmly and efficiently to emergency call-outs when required
Providing a fuel-efficient, courteous and professional service at all times

What We’re Looking For

Full UK driving licence with HGV Class 2 (Category C)
A polite, professional and customer-focused approach
Good communication skills and confidence using mobile technology
Flexibility to work outside core hours when needed (including on-call)
Ability to work independently and use initiative
Basic mechanical knowledge and respect for vehicle care
Good general health and fitness
Local or regional knowledge of the South is an advantage

Pay & Benefits

£15.50 per hour during probation
£16.50 per hour after successful completion of probation
45 hours per week: Monday–Friday, 7:00am–4:00pm
On-call weekend: once every 1-2 months
