Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Commis Chef to join our vibrant culinary team. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting the kitchen’s daily food production and ensuring that high standards of quality, safety, and presentation are maintained. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your culinary skills within a dynamic hospitality environment, working alongside experienced chefs and contributing to memorable dining experiences for our guests. Duties

Assist senior chefs in preparing ingredients and executing food production tasks according to established recipes and standards
Support the cooking process by preparing dishes, garnishes, and accompaniments with precision and care
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace in compliance with food safety regulations
Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues
Contribute to the presentation of dishes to meet quality standards before they are served
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy service periods
Participate in stock rotation, inventory checks, and proper storage of ingredients to minimize waste

Skills

Proven experience in a kitchen environment, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality setting
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods
Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
Supervising experience or leadership qualities that support team management and mentorship
Excellent understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and kitchen staff
Passion for culinary arts with a desire to learn and grow within the hospitality industry
