Job Summary
Yemxtra Collections Limited is a UK-based fashion retailer specialising in high-quality ready-to-wear African and Modern inspired and contemporary clothing for men, women, and children. The company serves customers across Scotland, England, and the wider UK through retail, wholesale, and e-commerce channels.
We are seeking an experienced Retail & Wholesale Operations Manager to oversee and coordinate the company’s retail, e-commerce, inventory, logistics, warehousing, and wholesale operations.
The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership, improve operational efficiency, support business growth, and ensure excellent customer service standards across all areas of the business.
This role is critical to maintaining efficient day-to-day operations while supporting the company’s long-term growth objectives and commercial performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement operational strategies to support the company’s retail, wholesale, and e-commerce objectives.
- Lead, motivate, supervise, and support retail, warehouse, and administrative staff to achieve business targets.
· Manage day-to-day retail, e-commerce, inventory, warehousing, logistics, and wholesale operations.
- Analyse sales performance, operational data, market trends, and customer feedback to identify business growth opportunities
- Oversee stock control, supplier coordination, inventory replenishment, and logistics operations
- Monitor customer service standards and implement improvements to enhance customer satisfaction
- Ensure efficient merchandising, product availability, and operational workflow across retail and online channels
- Maintain relationships with suppliers, vendors, logistics providers, and business stakeholders
- Monitor financial and operational performance through budgets, forecasts, sales reports, and management information
- Support implementation of operational improvement initiatives following local authority inspection recommendations
- Ensure compliance with food hygiene, health & safety, operational regulations, and company procedures
- Drive continuous operational improvements to enhance productivity, efficiency, and profitability
- Support recruitment, onboarding, staff development, and operational training activities
- Identify opportunities to strengthen ecommerce growth and customer engagement strategies.
· Contribute to business planning, operational decision-making, and the achievement of organisational goals.
Essential Requirements
· Proven experience in an operational management, retail management, wholesale management, or business operations leadership role.
· Strong knowledge of retail operations, inventory management, warehousing, logistics, and supply chain processes
· Experience managing staff, operational performance, and business processes.
· Ability to analyse sales and operational data to support strategic decision-making.
· Excellent organisational, leadership, and people management skills.
· Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced business environment.
· Strong problem-solving, planning, and decision-making capabilities.
· Commercial awareness and customer-focused mindset.
· Good understanding of health and safety requirements and operational compliance standards.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and business reporting systems.
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
· Degree, diploma, or professional qualification in Business Management, Retail Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
· Experience within fashion retail, multicultural retail, wholesale distribution, or e-commerce businesses.
· Experience managing online retail platforms and order fulfilment systems.
· Knowledge of warehouse operations, logistics coordination, and stock management systems.
· Understanding of digital retailing, online marketing, and customer engagement strategies.
