Job Summary
We are seeking a Semi-skilled Welder to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with welding and fabrication tasks, primarily focusing on tubular metal and structural components. Responsibilities
- Assist with fabrication processes, including cutting, shaping, and assembling metal parts
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised welding equipment safely and efficiently
- Read technical drawings and blueprints to ensure accurate assembly and fabrication
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to safety standards at all times
- Support the team in completing projects on time by following instructions carefully
- Conduct basic inspections of welds and fabricated parts to ensure quality standards are met
Skills
- Proficiency in TIG & MIG welding and general welding techniques
- Knowledge of welding standards and practices
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment
- Familiarity with thin walled tubular work.
- Strong understanding of basic maths for measurements and calculations
- Good mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues during fabrication or welding tasks
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately
- Basic skills in using hand tools for assembly and finishing work
