Location Description

Billesley Manor Hotel & Spa is a historic 4-star country house hotel set within 11 acres of landscaped gardens in the heart of Shakespeare’s countryside.

Steeped in heritage and closely linked to William Shakespeare, the manor blends traditional charm with modern comfort, offering stylish bedrooms, a tranquil spa and wellness facilities, and a relaxing countryside setting. Its rich history, beautiful grounds, and focus on relaxation and hospitality provides a unique experience for both leisure and business guests.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and proactive HR and Payroll Advisor to lead the people and culture function at Billesley Manor Hotel and Spa.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting operational managers, driving employee engagement, ensuring compliance, and fostering a positive workplace culture aligned with our brand values.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide expert advice and guidance to managers on all HR matters
Manage the full employee lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and offboarding
Lead employee relations matters including investigations, disciplinaries, grievances, and absence management#
Support with payroll processing and compliance
Ensure compliance with employment legislation and company policies
Maintain accurate HR records and reporting
Support learning and development initiatives across the hotel
Oversee payroll processes in liaison with finance
Drive employee engagement, wellbeing initiatives, and retention strategies

About You:

Proven experience in a generalist HR role, ideally within hospitality
Strong knowledge of UK employment law
Confident managing employee relations cases independently
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Highly organised with strong attention to detail
Discreet and professional with the ability to handle confidential information
