About the role
The role Buying manager Grapes covers a key fruit area which is essential to deliver for our customer shop trip. Given the importance of the area availability, quality and price are very key elements to deliver.
The supply base is varied with family businesses & imported product. So you will get a breadth of experience in managing OL products from field to shelf whilst looking to develop a branded proposition to add value to the area.

Great quality, prices and service level on a consistent basis.

Improvements to quality & costs through improvements to our operating model.
Be brave to deliver strategic opportunities by truly understanding our customers & suppliers:

Increase % sold through branded proposition to maximise mix.

Further opportunities to improve quality at shelf edge as plastic to be removed.

Review supply base in key areas, with a potential reset required to improve overall efficiency & quality.

Commercial negotiation experience (including collaborative negotiation on OL products), combined with buying and supplier management.

Stakeholder and supplier relationship management, ensuring alignment and strong partnerships.

Range, buying, and trade planning (including seasonal events and large-scale promotions).

Data analysis and reporting, using customer insight and commercial data to drive decisions and forecasting.

Commercial forecasting and report preparation to support performance tracking and planning.

Food sector experience is desirable.
