About the Role
We are currently looking for German-speaking individuals based in Belfast to accompany international visitors during private walking tours of the city.
This freelance opportunity is ideal for people who enjoy sharing their knowledge of Belfast's history, culture, neighborhoods, and local lifestyle while creating engaging and memorable experiences for visitors.
No professional tour guide license is required. We value local knowledge, communication skills, and a genuine interest in interacting with people from different backgrounds.
Key Responsibilities
- • Lead private walking tours for small groups (typically 3–8 hours)
- • Share information about Belfast's history, culture, landmarks, and local life
- • Adapt each experience according to visitors' interests and pace
- • Answer visitor questions and provide local recommendations
- • Ensure a welcoming, professional, and enjoyable experience throughout the tour
Profile
- • Based in Belfast or very familiar with the city
- • Good knowledge of Belfast and its main attractions
- • Fluent German is required
- • Comfortable interacting with international visitors
- • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- • Comfortable walking for several hours
- Previous experience in tourism, hospitality, customer service, or guiding is an advantage but not required
