Job Summary
Reports to: Line Operations Manager
Direct reports: None
Working Hours: Continental days shift pattern (e.g. 4 on, 4 off) working 12-hour shifts which will also include working weekends and bank holidays.
Salary: £37,704.78
Main Accountability
The Process/Packaging Machine Operator (PMO) role directly influences line performance through operating and specific equipment in their zones. Working as part of a collaborative team of PMO’s, the priority is to execute the operational processes in their span of control. Any issues or defects they find should be rectified or escalated as part of the these process to the Site Expert & Trainer (SET) in the first instance and if issue cannot be resolved, onto the Shift Technicians (STs) and Operational Team Leaders (OTLs) and feed into the Daily Direction Setting (DDS)/QCDM process to ensure visibility of top issues.

Responsibilities:
The PMO’s responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Safely operate and adhere to standards

Proactively work to improve safety, for example raising and helping to resolve near misses

Owns the execution of. the Centreline (CL) Standards on their equipment
-
Owns the execution of basic maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, inspection and lubrication, as part of an autonomous maintenance system
-
Can identify and log Issues/Defects on their equipment using the appropriate systems
-
Execute change over on their equipment autonomously
-
Completion of line quality checks, ensuring adherence to quality standards

Adhere to escalation process for any unresolved issues during their shift
-
Transfer information to next shift PMO using the site’s recognised shift handover logs

Share knowledge, coach and support PMO’s

Demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset by proactively participating in the site’s CI process and everyday problem solving
