Job Title: Administration and Compliance Assistant
Location: Bramfield House School, Suffolk, IP19 9AB
Salary: Up to £20,000 per annum, depending on experience (not pro rata)
Hours: 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday: 9.30am - 4.00pm
Contract: Permanent | Term Time Only

About the Role
As our Administration and Compliance Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient day-to-day running of the school. Supporting both administrative operations and compliance processes, you will help maintain accurate records, coordinate essential documentation, and ensure the school meets statutory and regulatory requirements.
Working closely with the Senior Leadership Team and wider school staff, you will provide high-quality administrative support across a range of functions, from pupil records and staff documentation to health and safety, safeguarding and operational compliance. This is a varied and rewarding role where strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities will be key.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide proactive, high-quality administrative support to the Headteacher, School Business Manager, Senior Leadership Team and wider school staff, ensuring the efficient day-to-day operation of the school.
- Maintain accurate, confidential pupil, staff and school records, ensuring full compliance with GDPR and data protection legislation.
- Coordinate and maintain statutory compliance records, ensuring all documentation is accurate, up to date and readily available for audit and inspection.
- Deliver, coordinate or support the delivery of internal compliance training, helping to promote a culture of accountability and best practice across the school.
- Monitor, review and maintain school policies, ensuring review schedules are met and all documentation reflects current legislation and organisational requirements.
- Manage the school's communication systems, including parent and carer messaging platforms, ensuring timely, professional and effective communication.
- Support the preparation and organisation of compliance documentation for audits, inspections and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain the highest standards of professionalism by adhering to all safeguarding, child protection, confidentiality, health and safety, information security and GDPR requirements.
About You
- Holds GCSE Grade 4/C or above in English and Maths (or equivalent).
- Holds a full UK driving licence
- Highly organised, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- A confident communicator with a professional and welcoming approach.
- Comfortable using IT systems, databases and Microsoft Office applications.
- Discreet, trustworthy and able to handle confidential information sensitively.
- Proactive, adaptable and solution-focused, thriving in a fast-paced environment.
- A supportive team player who builds positive relationships with colleagues, pupils and families.
