Hours: 37 hours a week
Contract type: 24-month fixed contract

Summary Description
This is a rare opportunity to lead one of the UK's most significant museum collections relocation projects.

Derby Museums is the independent charity which cares for more than 300,000 objects on behalf of Derby City Council. The collections include fine and decorative art, archaeology, natural history, science, technology, military history and social history. This includes internationally important paintings of Joseph Wright of Derby Designated by Arts Council England as being of outstanding national significance. Our collections inspire hundreds of thousands of people every year and support research, learning and exhibitions across the UK and beyond.

The Role
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the planning and delivery of the relocation of these collections into new storage facilities. Working jointly with Derby City Council, you will oversee complex logistics, develop future-proof storage solutions, manage specialist contractors and multidisciplinary teams, and ensure our collections are protected and accessible for generations to come.
