Job Overview
As a Waiter/Waitress, you will play a key role in creating memorable experiences for our guests.
You’ll be responsible for delivering outstanding customer service, serving food and drinks, and ensuring our customers receive a warm Northumberland welcome every time they visit.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests and provide a friendly, professional first impression.
- Present menus and answer questions about food, drinks, allergens and daily specials.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using our ordering system.
- Serve food and drinks promptly and professionally.
- Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages, including tea, coffee and soft drinks.
- Serve alcoholic beverages in line with licensing regulations and company policies.
- Check customer satisfaction throughout service and respond promptly to requests.
- Clear, clean and reset tables efficiently.
- Process customer payments accurately using tills and card payment systems.
- Maintain excellent standards of cleanliness throughout customer and service areas.
- Assist with opening and closing duties.
- Work closely with colleagues to ensure smooth service during busy periods.
- Promote local products, specials and events taking place at Taste of Northumberland.
- Follow all food hygiene, health and safety, and licensing requirements.

Desirable

- Experience serving alcoholic beverages.
- Knowledge of food hygiene and allergen awareness.
- Personal Licence Holder (advantageous but not essential).
