BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE & INSIGHTS ANALYST
Salary: £45,000 per annum
Location: Birchwood, Warrington
Hours: 37.5 hours, 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday
Job Type: Full Time | Permanent
Help shape the future of data at Angel Advance.
At Angel Advance, we believe better decisions come from better insight.
Every day we collect valuable information across our customer journey—from marketing and online applications through to debt advice, customer service, payments and Consumer Duty.
We're now looking for a Business Intelligence & Insights Analyst to help us unlock the full value of that data.
This is a brand-new role and an exciting opportunity to help shape how data is used across the business.
Reporting into our Operations Director and working closely with the CEO, Directors and Department Managers, you'll identify opportunities, answer key business questions and provide insight that improves customer outcomes, operational performance and commercial growth.
If you're naturally curious, enjoy solving problems and want to make a genuine impact, we'd love to hear from you.
About Angel Advance
Angel Advance is one of the UK's leading Debt Management providers, helping thousands of customers every year regain control of their finances.
Authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), we continue to invest in technology, automation and AI to improve both customer outcomes and operational efficiency.
This role forms part of our long-term strategy to become a truly data-led business.
What you'll be doing
Working across every department, you'll analyse data, identify trends and provide meaningful insight that supports better decision-making across the business.
Your work will include:
- Analysing customer behaviour throughout the customer journey.
- Identifying trends and opportunities across the business.
- Developing dashboards and business intelligence reporting.
- Investigating why customers engage, disengage and stop making payments.
- Analysing marketing performance and customer acquisition.
- Supporting Consumer Duty monitoring and customer outcome analysis.
- Working alongside managers to improve operational performance.
- Identifying opportunities for AI, automation and continuous improvement.
- Presenting findings and recommendations to senior management.
Whilst strong reporting and analytical skills are essential, this role is about using data to answer business questions, identify opportunities and influence strategic decision-making.
What we're looking for
We're looking for someone who naturally asks questions such as:
- Why is this happening?
- What is driving this trend?
- How can we improve it?
- What is the data telling us?
You'll ideally have:
- Experience analysing large and complex datasets.
- Advanced knowledge of SQL, Microsoft Azure, Python or equivalent tools.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Experience building and managing BI dashboards using Power BI or equivalent tools.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Commercial awareness.
- A genuine curiosity and desire to improve business performance.
Experience: 2–4 years of experience working as a Data Analyst, Business Analyst, or Financial Data Analyst, ideally within a fintech, financial services, or B2B commercial environment.
What we offer
- Competitive salary.
- Hybrid working.
- Company pension.
- Employee Assistance Programme.
- Ongoing learning and development.
- Modern offices in Birchwood.
- The chance to work directly with senior leadership on strategic business projects.
Why join Angel Advance?
This is a rare opportunity to join a growing business that is investing heavily in technology, automation and AI.
Rather than joining an established reporting team, you'll have the opportunity to influence how data is used across the organisation and play a key role in improving customer outcomes and shaping future business decisions.
If you're looking for a role where your work genuinely makes a difference, we'd love to hear from you.
