Job Summary

Join our dynamic hospitality team as a Kitchen Porter and become a vital part of delivering exceptional dining experiences. In this energetic role, you will support the kitchen operations by maintaining cleanliness, assisting with food preparation, and ensuring the kitchen environment is safe, organized, and efficient. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help keep our kitchen running smoothly, enabling chefs and staff to focus on creating memorable meals for our guests. Responsibilities

Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, work surfaces, and floors to uphold hygiene standards.
Assist with basic food preparation tasks under the supervision of chefs or kitchen managers.
Support the movement of supplies and ingredients within the kitchen area to ensure smooth workflow.
Dispose of waste responsibly and maintain proper storage of ingredients and supplies.
Ensure all cleaning schedules are followed diligently to maintain a safe and organized environment.
Help with serving duties during busy service times, including setting up stations and clearing tables as needed.
Follow health and safety regulations at all times, reporting any hazards or issues promptly.

Skills

Experience in food preparation or cooking within a restaurant or hotel environment is highly desirable.
Previous kitchen experience demonstrating knowledge of hygiene standards and safety procedures.
Strong understanding of hospitality principles, including serving guests professionally and courteously.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Good teamwork skills with a proactive attitude towards supporting colleagues.
Basic culinary skills complemented by familiarity with kitchen equipment and cleaning protocols.
Enthusiasm for learning new skills within the culinary and hospitality sectors.
