Job Title

Salaried General Practitioner

Salary

6 sessions per week

Job Summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Salaried GP to join our friendly and supportive team for 6 sessions per week. We are a well-established GMS practice, consistently performing well in QOF.

Main Duties of the Role

The post-holder will be responsible for the delivery of general medical services within primary care and will manage a clinical caseload covering a wide range of health needs, ensuring the highest standards of care at all times.

Clinical Responsibilities

Undertake a full range of GP duties including face-to-face consultations, telephone consultations, and responding to online triage queries via Anima (total triage system)
Carry out home visits and care home visits as required
Review, action and sign repeat and acute prescriptions
Review test results, correspondence and clinical paperwork in a timely manner
E, ChoUse and maintain accurate clinical records using SystmOne, ICE systems
Assess patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed presentations
Screen patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness in line with current clinical guidelines and practice protocols
Develop, review and implement individual care plans
Provide health education and counselling where appropriate
Refer patients to secondary care and other services using appropriate referral pathways
Admit or discharge patients from caseloads as clinically indicated
Maintain clear, accurate and contemporaneous consultation notes
Collect data for audit, quality improvement and QOF purposes
Prescribe in accordance with the practice formulary, NICE guidance and local policies, using generic prescribing where clinically appropriate
Undertake all normal duties associated with a GP working under a GMS contract, including some on-call duties and visits

Person Specification Essential Qualifications

MRCGP or equivalent Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) with a licence to practise in the UK

UK Registration
