About this role:
To support the implementation of a Quality Strategy for the business by promoting and developing a positive Quality culture within the organisation. More specifically;
Leading as the HSE Management Representative, developing and maintaining the CIL Business Management System through ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 50001.
Assisting in the development of a Continuous Improvement culture throughout the Business.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to;
To develop and maintain a business management system that addresses the requirements of ISO 14001 for the business.
To communicate of the requirements of the respective standards to Management and all employees ensuring that a sound understanding of these requirements is maintained, at all levels.
To support in the introduction of other schemes or programs which arise through Customer or market needs of the business such as ISO 45001 and ISO 50001.
To manage compliance requests that arise from Customer compliance queries, including conflict mineral statements.
To manage internal HSE audits ensuring that they are planned, conducted, reported and that all resulting non-conformances are closed in a timely and effective manner.
To assist Management in identifying and containing business risks, and ensuring that appropriate system actions are deployed to prevent further recurrence or other risks occurring to the business.
To support the development and management of the HSE Committee to provide a fully engaged environmental and H&S management system and to ensure that where appropriate preventative action measures have been put in place and are effective in order to meet Customer Expectations.
To Identify and report OHAS & Environmental Measures and KPI’s across the business ensuring that duplication and conflicting data is minimised, identifying specifically costs relating to energy and waste.
To develop, maintain and actively promote the concept of Behavioural Safety within the Workplace and to perform the necessary training and reviews to fully engage the staff in their empowerment in an H&S culture.
To carry out training to support team development in all aspects of quality, health, safety and environment.
Key Skills and Competencies:
Essential
Formal education – Degree Level preferred (Minimum Level 4 Higher National Certificate).
Formal Lead Auditor training in one or more of the following: ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
Demonstrable experience in a manufacturing/engineering environment ideally within the electronics Manufacturing Sector.
Formal education - NEBOSH General Certificate for Health & Safety Management (or equivalent).
Proficient in Microsoft Office, data handling and analysis.
Expertise in conducting risk assessments, investigations, inspections and audits
Expertise in communication and negotiation.
Desirable
Formal Auditor training in ISO 50001 (or equivalent).
Formal education - NEBOSH Environmental Management Certificate (or equivalent).
Formal education – NEBOSH Fire Safety Certificate or equivalent.
Ideally holds industry knowledge in electronics engineering or equivalent.
