Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all costs related to construction projects, ensuring financial efficiency, and maintaining quality standards. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to high-profile projects while developing your expertise within a dynamic organisation.

Duties

Prepare and analyse cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents for various construction projects.
Monitor project costs throughout the lifecycle, identifying potential overruns and implementing cost control measures.
Conduct regular site visits to assess progress and verify quantities of materials used.
Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and clients to negotiate prices and contractual terms.
Prepare detailed reports on project financial status for senior management and stakeholders.
Assist in the procurement process by evaluating tenders and awarding contracts based on cost efficiency and quality.
Ensure compliance with legal, safety, and environmental regulations throughout all project phases.
Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions related to each project.

Skills

Proven experience in cost control within the construction or infrastructure sectors.
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
Proficiency in relevant software such as MS Excel, or similar programmes.
Effective communication skills for liaising with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.
