Accreditation Officer

Location: Nottingham (Hybrid Working)

Salary: £30,500

Hours: Full Time (35 hours per week)

Duration: Fixed term maternity cover, approx. 12 months

The Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) is seeking an organised, customer-focused Accreditation Officer to join our Membership and Accreditation team on a fixed-term basis.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering APIL's nationally recognised accreditation schemes while supporting our growing membership. About the role

As Accreditation Officer, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day administration of APIL's accreditation programmes, supporting members throughout their accreditation journey and ensuring our schemes continue to operate to the highest standards.

Working closely with colleagues, members and external assessors, you'll administer applications, renewals and revalidations, coordinate CPD log reviews, maintain accurate records, and respond to member enquiries. You'll also support membership services, contribute to promotional campaigns and help identify opportunities to continually improve our processes and member experience.

What you'll be doing

· Administer APIL's individual and specialist accreditation schemes, including application processing, renewals, CPD log reviews, revalidations and monitoring requirements.

· Coordinate accreditation monitoring processes, ensuring compliance with scheme requirements, and liaise with external assessors where appropriate.

· Process corporate, in-house and external provider accreditation applications and renewals.

· Coordinate the production and distribution of accreditation certificates.

· Maintain accurate accreditation records, forms and reports, ensuring all documentation is up to date and compliant.

· Respond to member and applicant queries relating to accreditation, revalidation, CPD requirements and accreditation processes, providing a professional and timely service.

· Assist with the marketing and promotion of APIL's accreditation schemes.

· Support the development and continuous improvement of accreditation policies and procedures.

· Promote APIL membership and accreditation, supporting member recruitment, retention and engagement through campaigns, communications and development initiatives.

The postholder will receive a structured handover from the current postholder and work from an updated accreditation handbook.

About you

We're looking for someone who is highly organised, accurate and enjoys working with people. You'll be able to manage a varied workload while maintaining excellent attention to detail and providing exceptional customer service.

Ideally, you'll have:

· Experience working within a membership organisation, professional body or charity.

· Experience administering accreditation or quality assurance schemes.

· Excellent organisational and administrative skills.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills.

· Experience using CRM or membership database systems.

· Good analytical skills and confidence producing reports.

· A proactive approach with excellent problem-solving skills.

· The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a small team.

Knowledge of the legal or professional services sector would be advantageous but is not essential.
