FMCG Sales Representative

£28,000 basic salary + commission – OTE £45,000
Fuel card and business mileage provided
All-Ireland territory

About Direct Vapes

Direct Vapes is a fast-growing wholesale business supplying vaping and related consumer products to retailers across the UK and Ireland.

We have an established customer base, a strong product range and significant opportunity to continue growing across both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.

As part of that growth, we are expanding our commercial team and are looking for an ambitious FMCG Sales Representative who enjoys being out with customers, winning orders, opening new accounts and developing existing relationships.

This is a hands-on sales role with plenty of opportunity for someone who is commercially driven and wants their earnings to reflect the results they deliver.

The Role

Reporting to the Sales Manager, you will manage a portfolio of existing customers while actively developing new business across your territory.

You will spend a significant proportion of your time visiting customers face-to-face, understanding what they need, presenting products and promotions, securing orders and identifying opportunities to increase sales.

Your responsibilities will include:

Managing and developing a portfolio of existing retail and wholesale customers.
Regularly visiting customers throughout Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
Taking orders and maximising sales opportunities during customer visits.
Prospecting for and opening new customer accounts.
Building strong relationships with independent retailers, store owners, buyers and managers.
Increasing product distribution and range within existing customers.
Introducing new products, promotions and commercial opportunities.
Identifying gaps in customer ranges and recommending appropriate products.
Following up leads and converting opportunities into active customers.
Planning your territory and customer visit schedule effectively.
Working towards agreed sales, new business and account-growth targets.
Maintaining accurate customer, order and opportunity information.
Monitoring competitor activity and feeding market information back to the business.
Working closely with the Sales Manager and wider commercial team to maximise opportunities.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone who enjoys sales and is comfortable taking responsibility for their own territory.

You should have:

Previous field sales, FMCG, wholesale, retail supply or B2B sales experience.
A strong track record of winning orders and developing customer relationships.
Confidence approaching prospective customers and generating new business.
The ability to build rapport quickly with business owners, managers and buyers.
A proactive and commercially driven approach.
Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
Good organisation and territory-management skills.
The confidence to work independently while remaining part of a wider sales team.
A results-focused approach and motivation to achieve targets.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Experience within FMCG, convenience retail, wholesale, vaping, tobacco alternatives, drinks, food, consumer goods or similar route-to-market sales would be particularly relevant.

Salary & Package

£28,000 basic salary

Travel & Driving

This is a field-based role involving regular customer visits throughout Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.

Applicants must:

Hold a full UK driving licence.
Have access to their own suitable vehicle for business use.
Be comfortable travelling regularly as part of their normal working week.

A fuel card and business mileage are provided.
