Job Summary:
U. Bakery is an independent artisan bakery & café focused on handcrafted sourdough, viennoiserie, artisan breads, and seasonal baking made fresh daily.
We’re looking for a skilled and passionate Baker to join our growing team. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced, high-standards bakery environment, ideal for someone who genuinely cares about quality, consistency, and craftsmanship.
You’ll be working alongside a close-knit and supportive team producing quality baked goods that are part of our customers’ everyday lives.
Responsibilities:
- Mixing, shaping, and baking artisan breads and sourdough products
- Preparing Viennoiserie and laminated pastry products
- Preparing products to high standards of quality and consistency
- Following bakery preparation schedules and daily production plans
- Maintaining cleanliness, organisation, and food safety standards
- Working efficiently as part of a team during early morning production
- Taking pride in presentation, detail, and craftsmanship
- Supporting seasonal product development and bakery growth
- Experience:
- Professional bakery experience required
- Strong artisan bread and sourdough knowledge essential
- Viennoiserie or lamination experience highly preferred
- Ability to work early mornings and weekends reliably
- Strong attention to detail and consistency
- Positive attitude and team-focused approach
- Passion for quality products and thoughtful baking
- We are looking for someone comfortable with early morning starts
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn and build NEW knowledge
