Full job description

Williamson Manufacturing Co Ltd is primarily concerned with the manufacture of a range of small peristaltic pumps, that have a large variety of applications within the UK, Europe and World wide. A small family run business based in the Lewes Road area of Brighton, close to buses and shops.

This role is available on a full time permanent basis and on a part time basis.

Full time contract 37.5 hours per week, working Mon-Fri 8.30-17.00 with breaks.

Light mechanical assembly work in a small team.

Duties to include:--

Working independently to a Bill of materials and build sheets;

Working within a team to a Bill of materials and build sheets;

Picking components for assembly work;

Assembling moulded parts;

Cutting tube to accurate lengths, fitting tubes into pumps, lubricating tubes;

Fitting metal brackets on small gearmotors, fitting pumpheads to brackets;

Machining of plastic and metal parts using a pillar drill and mill;

Testing complete pumps;

Packing pumps into cartons ready to be shipped;

Signing for received goods, booking in deliveries to the stock control system;

Answering the telephone, when necessary, and taking messages from customers and suppliers;

Ability to use the computer system for generation of labels etc when required;

The successful applicant will have a willingness to learn about the products made; good communication skills and relevant qualifications and/or experience in light assembly (but not necessarily in the pump industry). There is potential for advancement within the Company for applicants with suitable skills.
