We are seeking a WBL Assessor Trainer to join our team. In this role you will support work-based learners to develop, apply and demonstrate vocational competence within real working environments, delivering high-quality coaching, assessment and training in employer workplaces and, where required, within College settings.
You will assess learners against relevant occupational standards and qualification requirements, providing constructive feedback and tailored support to enable them to achieve their qualifications and reach their full potential. Working closely with employers, line managers and internal College teams, you will ensure programmes remain relevant to industry needs while maintaining accurate records and complying with awarding organisation, College and funding requirements. You will champion safe working practices, promote professional behaviours, and play a key role in developing confident, competent and work-ready individuals within your vocational specialism.

Up to 37 Hours per week, 52 weeks per year
About the role:
- To train and assess candidates towards agreed qualifications or standards (knowledge, skills and behaviours)
- To support the college with the completion of learner sign-ups, reviews and attend employer meetings as required within the Work-Based Learning (WBL) provision.
- To complete all required awarding organisation documentation accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring full compliance with relevant policies and procedures.
- Delivering engaging and innovative training using a variety of approaches to meet diverse learner needs.
- Assessing student work in accordance with established criteria and providing timely, constructive feedback to support progress and achievement.
- Monitoring and tracking student performance, implementing appropriate interventions where necessary.
- Contributing to quality improvement processes, including standardisation, moderation, and compliance activities.
Essential Experience:
- Industry experience within relevant sector.
Essential Qualifications:
- Education to level 3 or above and/or a professional qualification in required subject or equivalent OR Education to degree level and/or above in required subject or equivalent
- Minimum of Level 2 qualification in English and Mathematics GCSE 4+ or C and above / CSE Level 1 / O-Level C or above / Level 2 Adult Numeracy or Literacy or equivalent
