About Watford Scaffolding LTD

With a strong reputation for professionalism and safety compliance, we are looking to strengthen our leadership team with an experienced Commercial Manager.

The Role

We are seeking a commercially astute and driven with scaffolding industry Quantity Surveyor/ estimator experience to oversee the financial and contractual performance of our projects. This is a key leadership role responsible for maximising profitability, managing risk, and supporting sustainable business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee all commercial aspects of scaffolding projects from tender to final account
Prepare, review, and negotiate contracts and subcontracts
Manage valuations, variations, and final accounts
Monitor project costs, budgets, and forecasts
Lead and support estimating and quantity surveying functions
Identify and mitigate commercial risks
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and suppliers
Support business development and tender submissions

What We’re Looking For

Proven experience in a Commercial Manager or Senior Quantity Surveyor role within the scaffolding industry
Strong knowledge of construction contracts and commercial management
Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
Excellent negotiation and financial management skills
Strong leadership and team management abilities
High level of attention to detail and organisational skills
Full UK driving licence

Desirable

Relevant degree (Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Construction Management, or similar)
Experience working with main contractors and developers
Strong understanding of scaffolding regulations and compliance
