Job Summary

We may conduct our interviews in person or using Microsoft Teams for video calling. All you need is a device with a camera and access to the internet. We will provide guidance and instructions on how to use this method if your interview is being held virtually.

Achnamara is a local authority residential child care house providing care, protection, support and guidance for up to 8 children and young people. This service is open to young people and young adults up to the age of 21 years. These posts are not term time as the service offers support 365 days 24/7 days per week - including recognised holiday periods and public holidays too. The positions also requires weekend and evening shift work: early shift: 07:30am - 14:30pm and late shift: 14:00pm - 22:00pm.

PVG (Children)

This post is considered Regulated Work with Children, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act, 2007. Therefore, it is an offence to apply if you are barred from working with children.

Please note, successful candidates will be expected to meet the cost of the relevant PVG check (£59 or £18), which will be deducted in instalments from your wages following commencement of employment.
