Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and versatile Furniture Installer specialising in Property Staging to join our team on a flexible, zero-hours basis. The successful candidates will be responsible for efficiently installing, assembling, and arranging furniture and decorative items to enhance property presentation. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, providing an engaging environment for individuals with a keen eye for detail and a passion for interior presentation. Responsibilities
- Assemble and install furniture, fixtures, and decorative items in accordance with staging plans.
- Utilise hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to complete installations accurately and safely.
- Perform fabrication or modification of furniture pieces when necessary to fit specific spaces or design requirements.
- Conduct basic carpentry, joinery, roofing, plumbing, masonry, electrical work, or construction painting as required for customised installations.
- Handle heavy lifting and manoeuvre large or bulky items safely during the installation process.
- Ensure all work areas are kept clean and organised throughout each project.
- Collaborate with clients, property agents, or project managers to ensure staging meets specifications and client expectations.
- Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations at all times during installation activities.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in furniture assembly, fabrication, or related trades such as carpentry or joinery.
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in furniture installation and construction tasks.
- Knowledge of construction-related skills including roofing, plumbing, masonry, electrical work, or painting is advantageous but not essential.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
- Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail and aesthetics.
- Flexibility to work on varied projects with differing requirements on a zero-hours basis.
- Reliable transportation is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to travel between sites is essential.
- Previous experience in property staging or interior decoration is desirable but not compulsory.
