Job Overview

Newage Electrical is seeking an enthusiastic, customer-focused Sales Advisor to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, has a passion for sales and takes pride in delivering outstanding customer service.

As a Sales Advisor, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, helping them choose from a wide range of electrical appliances, televisions and home technology. You will take the time to understand each customer's needs, provide honest, expert advice and recommend the products that best suit their requirements.

The successful candidate will play an important role in achieving sales targets, maintaining our high standards of customer service and ensuring our showroom is welcoming, well-presented and fully stocked. Full product training will be provided, giving you the knowledge and confidence to offer expert advice across our extensive range of leading brands.

Duties

Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting products that meet their needs.
Maintain an in-depth knowledge of the product range to provide accurate information and recommendations.
Process sales transactions efficiently while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to encourage repeat business.
Collaborate with team members to achieve store sales targets and contribute to a positive team environment.
Assist in merchandising and maintaining the visual presentation of the sales floor.
Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly and professionally.
Occasionally you may be asked to assist with the delivery of appliances to our customers

Requirements

Previous retail or sales experience is essential, preferably within electrical, technology, furniture or home improvement retail.
A passion for delivering outstanding customer service and creating a positive shopping experience.
Excellent communication skills with the confidence to build rapport and engage with customers.
A positive, friendly and professional manner.
A proven ability to identify customers' needs and recommend suitable products.
Self-motivated with a proactive approach to achieving personal and team sales targets.
Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
Good numeracy and IT skills for processing sales, finance applications and stock management.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet.
A willingness to learn about new products, brands and the latest technology.
Reliable, punctual and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Flexible to work Saturdays and additional hours when required.
A full, clean UK driving licence is essential. You may occasionally be required to assist with local deliveries using one of our company vans.

Desirable Skills

Experience selling premium brands or high-value products.
Knowledge of white goods, TVs or home appliances.
Experience using EPOS systems.
Experience working towards sales targets and KPIs.
