Overview

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist/Programmer (Turning) to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC machinery to produce high-precision components in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities

Programme, set up, and operate CNC machines in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications.
Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD/CAM files to ensure accurate production.
Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of CNC equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Monitor production processes to maintain quality standards and identify any defects or issues promptly.
Adjust machine parameters as necessary to achieve precise tolerances and specifications.
Document production data accurately and maintain detailed logs of machine activity.
Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to improve manufacturing processes.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times during operation.

Experience

Proven experience as a CNC Machinist or Programmer (Turning), ideally within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
Proficiency in programming languages such as G-code or M-code is essential.
Familiarity with CAD/CAM software packages is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, and material properties.
Ability to read technical drawings and interpret complex specifications accurately.
Experience with troubleshooting CNC machinery and performing routine maintenance tasks.
Attention to detail, organisational skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team are crucial for success in this role.
