Responsibilities
- Provide professional barbering services including haircuts, trims, shaves, and grooming treatments tailored to client preferences
- Deliver exceptional customer service by engaging with clients in a friendly and professional manner
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards within the salon, ensuring all tools and workstations are sanitised after each use
- Consult with clients to understand their desired styles and offer expert advice on haircare and grooming options
- Keep up-to-date with the latest trends and techniques in hair styling and barbering
- Manage appointment schedules efficiently to minimise wait times and optimise client flow
- Uphold salon policies and health & safety regulations at all times
Skills
- Proven experience as a barber with a strong portfolio of hair styling work
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with clients
- Strong communication skills in English, capable of clearly understanding client needs and explaining grooming options
- Proficiency in various barbering techniques including fades, line-ups, beard trimming, and colouring if applicable
- Organised with the ability to manage time effectively in a busy environment
- Professional appearance with a friendly demeanour and positive attitude
- Ability to work well as part of a team while also demonstrating independence when required
