Full job description

Overview

We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team delivering eco-friendly coffins to funeral directors, crematoriums, cemeteries, and other locations across the UK. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in providing a respectful, dependable service and enjoys being on the road.

The position is based on a 4-day working week, with 10-hour shifts, offering an excellent work-life balance. Due to the nationwide nature of deliveries, occasional overnight stays may be required, with accommodation and expenses provided where applicable.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a company van to deliver eco-friendly coffins to customers across designated routes.
Plan and follow efficient delivery schedules to ensure timely and professional service.
Load, secure, and unload products carefully, maintaining their condition throughout transit.
Provide a courteous and respectful service when delivering to funeral directors, crematoriums, cemeteries, and related organisations.
Obtain proof of delivery and complete all required documentation accurately.
Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any defects or maintenance issues.
Communicate effectively with customers and the operations team regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
Adhere to all road traffic laws, health and safety regulations, and company policies.
Complete occasional overnight stays when required to support longer-distance delivery routes.
Assist with warehouse duties, stock organisation, and vehicle loading when necessary.

Requirements

Full UK driving licence with a clean or near-clean driving record.
Previous delivery driving experience preferred.
Comfortable driving long distances and managing multiple deliveries.
Physically fit and capable of loading and unloading products safely.
Excellent time management and organisational skills.
Professional, respectful, and customer-focused approach.
Ability to work independently and represent the company positively.
Flexibility to undertake occasional overnight stays.
