Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Scaffold Builder, labourer hgv driver to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling, installing, and dismantling scaffolding structures on various sites, ensuring compliance with safety standards and project specifications. Responsibilities
- Erect, modify, and dismantle scaffolding structures according to engineering plans and safety regulations.
- Inspect scaffolding components regularly to ensure stability and safety throughout the project duration.
- Collaborate with site managers, engineers, and other tradespeople to coordinate scaffold installation around ongoing construction activities.
- Use hand tools and power tools effectively to assemble scaffolding components with precision.
- Ensure all scaffolding work complies with health and safety legislation, including risk assessments and safety protocols.
- Maintain organisation of materials and tools on-site for efficient workflow.
- Assist with site preparation and clean-up post-installation or dismantling activities.
Experience
- Proven experience in scaffolding construction or related trades such as carpentry, roofing, or masonry.
- Knowledge of various construction skills including carpentry, roofing, construction painting, plumbing, masonry, welding, electrical work, fabrication, and the use of hand tools and power tools is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations relevant to scaffolding installation and general construction sites.
- Ability to read technical drawings and engineering plans is advantageous.
- Physical fitness to perform manual tasks including lifting heavy materials and working at heights safely.
- Certification or training in working at heights or scaffolding is preferred but not mandatory for experienced candidates willing to undertake necessary training.
