Job Summary
Porsche, VAG & Motorsport Specialist Workshop
County Classics Racing is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Vehicle Technician / Motorsport Technician to join our specialist workshop in Horsmonden, Kent.
We are a well-established multi championship winning race team and an independent workshop specialising in Porsche servicing, repairs, race preparation, performance upgrades, and VAG Group vehicles, including Volkswagen, Audi, SEAT and Škoda. This is a varied and rewarding role for someone who takes pride in precise workmanship, enjoys performance vehicles, and wants to work in a specialist environment rather than a standard dealership or fast-fit workshop.
Responsibilities
- Servicing, maintenance and mechanical repairs on Porsche and VAG Group vehicles
- Diagnostic work and fault finding
- Brake, suspension, steering, drivetrain and engine-related repairs
- Race car preparation, inspection and maintenance
- Pre-event and post-event vehicle checks
- Fitting performance parts, upgrades and modifications
- Engine and gearbox removal and refitting where required
- Preparing vehicles to a high standard for road, track and race use
- Maintaining accurate job records and reporting parts or repair requirements
- Keeping the workshop clean, organised and safe
- Working closely with the team to ensure vehicles are completed efficiently and correctly
- Experience
Ideally, already a master technician or Gold Standard technician, we are looking for someone who is practical, reliable and technically capable, with a genuine interest in performance cars and motorsport, to become a big cog in a small machine. A tow licence would be beneficial though not essential and a knowledge of older, air cooled Porsches would be ideal.
Applicants should have:
- Previous experience as a vehicle technician, mechanic or motorsport technician
- Strong mechanical knowledge and good diagnostic ability
- A high level of attention to detail
- The ability to work independently and as part of a small team
- A professional, organised and responsible approach to work
- A full UK driving licence
- Own tools preferred
Experience with Porsche, VAG Group vehicles, classic cars, performance cars or motorsport preparation would be a strong advantage, although the right attitude and skillset are equally important.
Pay: £26,025.66-£47,055.38 per year
Benefits:
- Free parking
- On-site parking
