Full job description

We are looking for a passionate and creative culinary professional to anchor our kitchen. Skillfully craft and assemble a daily menu of premium artisan sandwiches, using high-quality breads and local produce. Operate panini presses and ovens to produce consistently crispy, perfectly melted toasted sandwiches and melts. Prepare fresh ingredients, house-made spreads, fillings, and garnishes daily in accordance with food safety standards. You'll play a vital role in our independent shop by ensuring food is consistent and quality remains high. We are looking to expand our menu and need creativity.

Creativity & Menu Development.
Design and propose exciting daily or weekly specials, experimenting with new flavour profiles and seasonal ingredients. Contribute ideas on how to elevate classic sandwich staples into signature house favorites.

Kitchen Standards & Hygiene.
Maintain a pristine, well-organized, and highly efficient workstation.
Ensure full compliance with UK Food Hygiene and safety regulations, including correct temperature checks, storage, and cross-contamination prevention.
Manage stock rotation, minimize food waste, and assist with inventory deliveries as needed.

Communicate clearly with the front-of-house team and baristas to ensure smooth, fast service during busy periods.

Adapt quickly to customer dietary requirements (e.g., gluten-free, vegan options) while maintaining the taste and quality of the food.

Requirements & Skills
Previous experience in a kitchen, deli, or fast-paced catering environment. Level 2 is essential. Level 3 preferably.

Ability to work cleanly and independently, while staying calm under pressure during the morning and lunchtime rush.

Complete all required kitchen paperwork and maintain accurate records. Ensure compliance with allergen and food intolerance regulations. Lead by example in delivering high-quality food and maintaining an organised kitchen.

Pay: £11.27-£14.00 per hour
