Full job description

The Role

You will be responsible for developing relationships with customers, identifying opportunities, preparing accurate quotations and converting enquiries into sales. Alongside achieving sales targets, you will provide outstanding customer service, build long-term relationships and become a trusted adviser to your customers.

You will work closely with our sales support and operations teams to ensure every customer receives an excellent experience from initial enquiry through to delivery.

Our reputation has been built on delivering exceptional customer service, technical expertise and reliable project support. We are looking for a motivated Technical Sales Executive to join our growing team and help us continue that success.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

Manage inbound sales enquiries from merchants, contractors, developers and consultants.
Generate quotations and technical proposals.
Follow up quotations to maximise conversion.
Identify new business opportunities within existing and prospective customers.
Build long-term relationships that generate repeat business.
Achieve and exceed quarterly sales targets.
Keep up to date with industry developments and product innovations.
Attend product and sales training sessions.

Performance will be measured against the following:

Sales Performance

Minimum quotation conversion rate.
Order accuracy target.
Achievement of agreed quarterly sales targets.
Low order return and error rate.

Customer Service

Deliver exceptional customer service throughout every interaction.
Understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate solutions.
Resolve customer queries quickly and professionally.
Maintain regular communication throughout the sales process.
Support customers after delivery where required.

Administration & CRM

Maintain accurate customer records within the CRM.
Record all customer conversations and interactions.
Upload emails and project documentation.
Set follow-up tasks and next actions.
Ensure opportunities are managed through the sales pipeline.

Professional Standards

What We're Looking For

Essential

Previous sales experience (internal sales, technical sales or construction sales preferred).
Excellent communication skills.
Strong organisation and attention to detail.

Excellent attendance and punctuality.

Experience within drainage, construction or civils

Experience preparing quotations or technical proposals.
