An exciting opportunity exists for a Chief Nursing Information Officer to work with our Care Collaboratives and Digital Programmes team, help ing to support a transformational digital modernisation programme and introduce an electronic patient record system .
The CNIO role combines knowledge of patient care, digital technology and change management to effectively address the information and knowledge needs of healthcare professionals and patients to promote safe, effective, and efficient use of Digital Health s olutions in clinical settings.
The post holder will act as a change agent working with nursing and clinical leadership teams to identify , develop, plan, implement, and measure initiatives that deliver the digital strategy and support quality patient care and professional practice.

The post holder will act as a change agent working with nursing and clinical leadership teams in the identification, development, planning, implementation, and measurement of initiatives that deliver the digital strategy to support quality patient care and professional practice.
The CNIO will work closely with the Chief Clinical Information Officer (CCIO), Associate Director of Digital and Head of Digital Programmes to deliver the Trust’s digital strategy with particular focus on making the digital strategy work for clinicians, support the objectives to:
- Use technology and information to enable smarter, safer working
- Digitise our health and care records so that information can be shared quickly, appropriately, securely, to improve health outcomes
- Provide public facing digital services
- Understand our data and its context to be able to make informed decisions to improve patient care and population health
