Radiology Assistant | Spire Leicester Hospital | Bank | 0 Hour Contract

Spire Leicester Hospital have an exciting opportunity to join our bank as an assistant in the imaging department.

The role involves supporting a range of ultrasound and fluoroscopy clinics, including breast, gynaecology, and other sensitive examinations, requiring a professional and compassionate approach to patient care and chaperoning duties.

Duties and responsibilities

Assisting the Imaging team in the provision of exemplary patient care
Contributing to the support and monitoring of patients
Identifying and reporting any significant changes that might affect the patient’s health and well-being to the appropriate person
Assisting with the movement of patients in line with hospital policies

Who we're looking for

Previous experience working as a Healthcare Assistant (HCA), Radiology Department Assistant (RDA), or equivalent in a clinical/acute healthcare environment.
Previous exposure to an ultrasound environment is essential, with an understanding of departmental workflows and patient pathways.
Knowledge and experience of supporting Radiologists during ultrasound and fluoroscopy examinations.
Ability to provide high-quality patient care, including supporting patients during sensitive and intimate procedures and acting as a chaperone where appropriate.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.
Experience or knowledge of imaging services is desirable.

Working Hours: Zero-hour contract, Ad hoc shifts Monday to Saturday
