Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 2 Swim Teacher to join us at Sarah Bates School of Swimming. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality swimming lessons to a diverse range of learners, ensuring their safety, skill development, and enjoyment of the water. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about sports coaching and teaching to make a positive impact on children's lives.

Duties

Plan and deliver engaging swimming lessons tailored to the abilities and needs of individual learners
Ensure the safety of all participants by adhering to strict health and safety protocols
Demonstrate proper swimming techniques and water safety skills
Monitor progress and provide constructive feedback to students and parents or guardians
Maintain a clean and organised teaching environment, including poolside areas
Support the development of beginner to intermediate swimmers, fostering confidence and enjoyment in the water
Uphold professional standards of behaviour and communication at all times

Experience

Previous experience in sports coaching or teaching, particularly in aquatic environments, is highly desirable
Knowledge of swim teaching techniques aligned with recognised certification standards (e.g., Swim England, STA) is preferred
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate learners of all ages and abilities
A passion for promoting water safety and encouraging active participation in swimming activities
Relevant certifications or qualifications in swim teaching or coaching are advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £18.00-£24.00 per hour
