Accounts Manager

Location: Electract Ltd, Bardon Hill, Leicestershire
Working Pattern: Full-Time, Office Based
Salary: £33,000 - £37,000 per year (depending on experience)

About the Role

Electract Ltd is seeking a motivated and experienced Accounts Manager to join our team based at our Bardon Hill office in Leicestershire. This is a fantastic opportunity for a finance professional looking to take ownership of key financial processes while managing a small accounts team and supporting the continued growth of the business.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records, managing reporting requirements, and supporting operational performance across our contracts.

Key Responsibilities

Manage a small accounts team consisting of Sales Ledger and Purchase Ledger personnel.
Maintain applications for Industrial Contracts and self-billing arrangements on new-build housing contracts.
Maintain the nominal ledger, including:
Journal entries
Bank reconciliations
Raising Payments
Fixed asset management
Prepare quarterly Work in Progress (WIP) reports for Small Works and Housing Contracts.
Analyse financial performance across Small Works and Housing Contracts.
Review, check and sign off weekly payroll.
Provide cover for the Payroll Co-ordinator during periods of absence.
Support the wider finance function and contribute to continuous process improvement.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

· Part-qualified or qualified AAT status, or equivalent experience gained in a similar finance role.

· Previous experience managing or supervising a small team.

· Strong working knowledge of sales and purchase ledger functions.

· Excellent organisational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

· Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel.

· The ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively within a team environment.

Desirable

Knowledge and experience of payroll processes would be advantageous, although full training will be provided.
