Bakers Ready Mix Concrete Ltd is an exciting new business launching a dry batch concrete plant in Leicester. We are looking for a reliable, motivated and experienced Concrete Batching Plant Operator to help us deliver high-quality concrete and outstanding customer service across Leicester and the surrounding areas.

The Role
As our Concrete Batching Plant Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient day-to-day operation of our dry batch concrete plant, ensuring all concrete is produced accurately, on time and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and manage the dry batch concrete plant.
- Produce concrete to customer specifications and mix designs.
- Schedule and coordinate deliveries with the transport team.
- Monitor stock levels of cement, aggregates and admixtures.
- Carry out daily plant inspections and basic maintenance.
- Keep the batching plant clean, organised and operational.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations.
- Complete production records and quality documentation.
- Assist with loading vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Report any plant faults or maintenance requirements promptly.
- Deliver excellent customer service to customers and drivers.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Previous experience operating a concrete batching plant.
- Good understanding of concrete production and mix designs.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
- Good IT skills.
- A positive, can-do attitude with excellent attention to detail.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of dry batch concrete plants.
- Loading shovel licence (or willingness to obtain one).
- Mobile plant experience.
- Health & Safety qualification.
- Experience within the ready mix concrete industry.
