Pharmacy Apprentice Assistant – Gables Pharmacy, Holbrook

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent, Apprenticeship
Pay: From £8.00 per hour
Location: Gables Pharmacy, Holbrook, CV6 4DD
Work Location: In person

About the Role

Gables Pharmacy is looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and reliable individual to join our team as a Pharmacy Apprentice Assistant.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who would like to start a career in pharmacy and healthcare. You do not need previous pharmacy experience, as full training will be provided alongside a recognised pharmacy qualification.

You will work as part of an experienced pharmacy team, learning how a busy community pharmacy operates while developing your customer service, dispensing and healthcare skills.

Your Responsibilities

As you develop within the role, your duties will include:

Assisting with the dispensing and preparation of prescriptions under the supervision of the Pharmacist and pharmacy team.
Providing friendly and professional customer service to patients.
Communicating clearly with patients, GP surgeries and other healthcare professionals.
Helping patients with over-the-counter medicines and pharmacy products within your level of training.
Receiving and putting away pharmacy stock.
Completing stock rotation and date checking.
Maintaining accurate pharmacy records.
Following pharmacy Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and confidentiality requirements.
Keeping the pharmacy clean, tidy and organised.
Supporting the team with the day-to-day running of a busy community pharmacy.
Undertaking additional duties as required by the Pharmacist or Pharmacy Manager.

Qualifications

GCSEs or equivalent are preferred, particularly English and Maths.
Previous pharmacy experience is not required.
Full apprenticeship training will be provided.
