At Tayside Home Care, we believe outstanding care starts with outstanding people. We are expanding our dedicated team and are seeking an experienced and compassionate Senior Care Worker to support individuals in their own homes across Perth and Kinross.

About the Role:

As a Senior Care Worker, you will provide exceptional support to individuals in their own homes, including assisted living and home care environments. You will play a vital role in enhancing quality of life through respectful, personalised, and compassionate care.

A valid driving licence is mandatory. Experience in elderly and dementia care is required for this post.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver personalised care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and mobility
Administer medication and ensure adherence to care plans
Support individuals living with frailty, dementia or Alzheimer’s
Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs
Promote mental and emotional wellbeing through meaningful engagement
Assist with light housekeeping to maintain a safe environment
Escort clients to appointments and social activities
Respond appropriately to emergencies, including administering first aid if required
Provide emotional support and companionship
Maintain accurate care records and report concerns to supervising staff

What We’re Looking For:

Previous experience in home care, assisted living, or nursing home settings
Strong understanding of dementia and senior care practices
Experience with medication administration and behaviour management
Knowledge of first aid and emergency procedures
Excellent communication skills, empathy, patience, and professionalism
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
