Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef de Partie to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety are maintained. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong background in food preparation and kitchen operations to develop their culinary expertise within a professional environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook dishes in accordance with menu specifications and quality standards
Oversee specific sections of the kitchen, such as sauces, grill, or pastry, ensuring smooth operation
Assist in the organisation and management of kitchen stations during service periods
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of work areas, adhering to food safety regulations
Monitor stock levels and assist with the ordering of ingredients and supplies
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service delivery
Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner, maintaining presentation standards
Support junior kitchen staff through training and guidance as required

Requirements

Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen environment
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Previous restaurant experience, ideally in a similar role such as Demi Chef or Commis Chef
Excellent skills in meal preparation and culinary techniques
Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service times
Good organisational skills with attention to detail
Experience in serving customers or front-of-house duties is advantageous but not essential
A genuine passion for culinary arts and continuous learning opportunities
